I began with pugs in 1996 after loving the breed for years. My First pug, Chynna, was a pet type pug,
but then I got started in exhibiting  registered AKC pugs in shows with a
new championed lined girl from Lazy G pugs, Tootsie. Toots took Winners Bitch 2 days in a row
for 3 points!  I was thrilled and caught the bug.
I had my first AKC champion show litter in 1998 and I think because I am a nurse,
I care for all my pugs in the house like toddlers right in my kitchen.
When I have a litter of  puppies, they usually have a C section by Dr M. Butchko and sons.
I have an incubator where they stay warm and snuggled, O2 if needed,
and given to mom every 2 hours around the clock.
Once they are healthy, eating well around 3 weeks old and mom won't sit on them,
they are given to the mother to be pampered.
It is hard exhausting work but the love for the breed, healthy great looking pugs is what keeps me going.
I love the breed, and they are my babies, my kids, since I have no children at home.
My dogs are around my husbands' grandkids and my autistic loud son, Travis, on the weekends.
They are all socialized with music, TV, loving hands and other dogs I board. We have a large patio, grassy shady yards as well and I often take in several foster rescues as well.
I donate to Pugs N Pals rescue yearly, PDCA, ASPCA, AKC Health Foundation, and several other private rescue organizations, like Best Friends in Utah.

My breedings are planned very carefully and only have 2-3 litters a year.
Puppies come from multiple champions and they all make exceptional companion
high quality pets and show pugs.
Because my reputation is at stake, we would not
knowingly risk breeding pugs with health issues.
All my girls are OFA health certified before they are shown and bred.
There is a difference between backyard breeders and show breeders,
they don't breed out the genetic health issues, don't show their pugs and only breed to pay the bills.
Genetics is temperment, color, conformation, size, ear set, tail set, gait, width of jaw and eyes, teeth, nose openings, palate problems and of course heart, knees, hernias etc.
Your pup will be in the best health, have a health check by a vet at 8 weeks, 2 sets of shots, wormings done, dew claws removed and have a happy even temperment, great looking, and ready for your home. We offer a 1 year health guarantee and a life time return if you cannot care for your pug. We don't want to see our pugs in a pug rescue or shelter. NO WAY.

Our pups are all raised the same, in our large family room kitchen, around grandkids, other dogs and raised with human love. These pups are usually all simular in conformation,
and hopefully there will be 1 or 2 that will excel to a champion
and continue the line for us and others that are interested in showing a purebred pug.

A few will be sold as pets to families not interested in showing.
Any money that I might make goes right back into my pugs, high quality food, entry show fees,
and vet bills.
There is hardly ever a profit in breeding for a  litter.
It's the joy and thrill of breeding gorgeous fine quality pups, and watching them win in the ring.
I spend thousands of dollars every year showing my pugs.
I understand some people can't afford the cost of a well bred pug, but the quality and
consistency in health, conformation and temperment will beat the cheaper
 backyard breeders and pet stores.
You get what you pay for. I learned that the first year I was in pugs!
It NEVER pays off to start the cheaper way or pick that cute puppy in the window at the mall.
Nothing is cheap but
it's the reward you get in healthy happy new puppies and winning in the ring!
Call me for a visit. New clients are welcome for boarding as well.
If you cannot afford a new puppy, there are lots of pugs for adoption that
need homes before these pups. See if there is one for you or two!

If everyone bred only dogs with excellent conformation, and stable, correct temperaments, working titles and clean health, we would have top-quality dogs in this country. Get your dog evaluated by judges and trainers. If he meets breed standard, and is healthy, and has the correct temperament and drives, show him, work him, and get him titled. If you feel you have what it takes to be a "professional" breeder, educate yourself, and with enough experience in dogs, maybe you, too, could make a positive contribution to your breed. But if your dog's only credentials are that it is a great pet, then love it, socialize it, train it, exercise it, give it the best in feed, comfort and veterinary care, but for it's own good (including better health - ask your vet!), and for the sake of puppy-buyers, society, and all canines, get it spayed or neutered

NOTE: Not all these pugs live with me. Some are owned or live with others, but they are my breeding,  and they may or may not be in my name with the AKC.
(such as Pheona, Tinkerbell, Pheobe, Jewel, Piper, Hannah, Roxy, and Sophia  (with my father.)
